I don't have a TV in the loom room so it's been pretty much been gathering dust since the Olympics began. I did sneak in from time to time to get this new warp almost wound.
Ditto for threading the warp on the loom. I thought I was ready to tie it on but when I sat to do it last night I found a threading error and it was a doozy.
Instead of tying it all on I am untying it and re-threading it one painful heddle at a time. It's going to take forever and it's back breaking work.
It's crazy that I am going to all this trouble for what is going to be a very short lived project because this is all I have left of the weft from the kit. It's leftover from the big disaster I had with this very same project from last year.
The good news is I just noticed that my weaving stash is growing. I just may need another shelf.
I do not understand weaving at all. Sometimes I think about getting a loom and then I remember I have plenty of projects to keep me busy. So I’ll watch you instead. :-). I do love those purples that you’re using.ReplyDelete
Oy! I remember the pain of a threading mistake well! Kudos to you for hanging in there and correcting it!ReplyDelete
So many pretty colors! Will this be a towel again>? You are just so talented my friend....always up to something.ReplyDelete
Looks like it is time to get weaving! LOLReplyDelete
So many pretty colors to play with.
Dang! Fixing errors is fiddly, but you'll be glad you made the effort.ReplyDelete
You have the patience of a saint. I hope the weaving brings you peaceReplyDelete
You just amaze me at all you can do. I have two smallish looms, I once had five and now I don't even weave with them. No time at the present. Can you imagine what two energetic pups could do to some weaving?ReplyDelete
