Sunday Stitching

When life is hectic, quilting and cross stitching suffer. I have to have my wits about me for them and I am pretty much witless at the moment. I have a bathtub in my living room people. I did get the tree on the left started. A few branches felt like a huge victory the other night.

I also found a few minutes for Mom's sampler but I had to rip out the rope I had done earlier. It was off. Way off but I got it back on track.

In spite of no stitching time I managed to add theses patterns to my collection this week. I loved working on the Halloween projects and know I will want to pack them away after the holiday. I bought an autumn pattern and a winter pattern in case I need to fill the void come November 1st.

My biggest accomplishment this week was to get the Halloween towels on the loom. It's a quick weave so if I can get them threaded it will be all go. Happy October!

  4. It has been all ripping out here this week too. I think I'm finally settled on a blanket of all things. I recall the fridge in the family room and washing dishes in the bathroom sink while we redid the kitchen. No fun. But oh when it was finished!!

  5. The colors for the Halloween towels look awesome. Really looking forward to seeing the end result. For a lady with a bathtub in her living room, it sounds like you have done well. That should be a good story. Hope you are having beautiful fall weather!

  7. I really love the colors on the loom! Your stitching is coming along nicely; sometimes just a few stitches can be so calming!
I once had a toilet in my front yard (flooring was going down) but I think you beat that with a bathtub in your living room!

  8. Sometimes buying patterns is as good as making them! Dressing the loom is a huge accomplishment-you're right, the weaving will be a snap in comparison!
