Spinning a Good Yarn

I was in the library the other day when I saw this. It's hilarious.

My own interest in knitting made a resurgence when I bought this kid's book for Daughter many years ago when she was beginning to read. I still use the pattern that comes with it.

When I did a Google search for the first book, I was surprised to find so many books with knitting themes.

Apparently people aren't just writing pattern books anymore.

I suppose this generation of adult knitters want to make sure the craft is passed on.

I think I need to own this.

 And this.

And this.

The one thing I miss about being a teacher is having an excuse to buy children's books.

I do have a grandson and he may just get this book from me someday.

And maybe this one, too.

  1. I recognize a few of these! My daughter always brings a story about wool or yarn for me to read to her kids! Love it!

  2. I miss reading children's books too. Thanks for listing these. I see some Birthday/Christmas presents there.

  3. This is a great post. I need to read the books. I love them

    Thank you so much

  4. news flash.... you need no further delay.... just keep reading and purchasing all your favorite children's books... it is one of life's greatest pleasures.
