Out of Season

I had a monster of a headache yesterday. I could feel it coming on Tuesday night while I was sitting downstairs organizing all of The Misters dots for his Diamond Dot project.

I went on to sew together more yo-yos when I should have gone and taken a Tylenol and a hot bath. I paid the price for letting it creep up on me.

In spite of feeling awful I power washed the deck, brushed the cats and gave Pup a bath. We took her out for a walk to dry off since it was in the 80's again.

We took her to a local beach that has a long shady asphalt walk. I didn't want my clean, wet dog in the sand and the boardwalk was too hot.

This place is spectacular in the fall but in the spring it's not very scenic. In fact, it's pretty dismal.

The wetlands look more like a swamp than anything else.

With the leaves down I did spy this. I had to climb a muddy hill to get the photo. I wonder if Ted and Maggie are still together? It really was a grand gesture.

  1. I had a doozy of a headache yesterday too. Mine was from the smoke being blown up from Kansas fires. I don't remember that from when we lived here before. It's almost like being back in Washington and the forest fires!
I hope the Mister likes his diamond painting. I might get the beads ready for my next one. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.
Zoey had a bath a couple of days ago too. She's always so happy and peppy after one. :-)
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy

  2. Organizing the dots will make the project more manageable for the Mister. Sorry that you had a migraine; I hope you are feeling better today.
