Nice and Easy

There was way too much project drama this week so yesterday I picked up something that couldn't go wrong.

The slow pace of paper piecing was a good respite from the week's challenges and failures.

Here is where my new little iron really shone. I love this little thing. It makes me want to iron things and I hate ironing.

I finished another row on the table runner and am attaching it-nice and easy. After this crazy week, that's going to be my theme for the weekend-nice and easy.

  1. Such a pretty piece. I often find ironing to be almost meditative, and I love the scent of linen and cotton being ironed!

  3. One of these days I want to learn how to paper piece. It does look really relaxing. But do you take the paper out after sewing it together? Does it stay inside the quilt?

    1. The papers come out when you are done but the stiffness helps you sew it together so you leave them in until you are finished. Then you pull them out and have a fabric only top to sandwich and quilt like normal.
