Summer Under the Stars

Sometimes the knitting gods smile down on you and yesterday they were smiling at me. It was Cary Grant day on TCM and it was raining. Could you ask for a better day to do nothing but sit and knit?

I started off in the morning with a pot of tea and Topper. I managed to get three more stripes on the two at a time Felici socks.

I switched over to the Opal sock while I was watching Bringing Up Baby. I turned the heel and started down the foot.

By the time they were showing Arsenic and Old Lace I had once again turned a heel and had started down another foot. This time on my reel sock.  I don't have a lot to show for my day but it was a very pleasant one. For almost 12 hours there was no pandemic, no social unrest, no divisive politics. It was just me, my needles and one very, very charming gentleman.

  2. I love, love, love it! The socks are all wonderful and I especially like the Felici yarn.
Do you know, I don't think I've ever seen a Cary Grant movie. I think I'm the only woman of a certain age who can make that claim. I'll have to change that someday.
I'm glad you had a good day Debra. You needed it.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  4. A perfect way to spend the day! I haven’t seen a Cary Grant movie in years: Charade and Roman Holiday are two of my favorites.
