Something Done

It started here in May.

It looked like this in June.

Here it is in July.

Now it looks like this. My latest Pimpeliesse is done. It's not blocked but the ends are woven in. I'm not hating the clown barf colorway as much as I thought so I'll keep it out of the over dye pot for now.

My new rule is every skein that come off the wheel has to be something. No more tossing it in the full to the top bin so I've already started another Pimpeliesse with the ball that came off the wheel before this last one.  I should have a pile of these little scarves by the end of the year.

  1. I'm thinking we are going to have a cold winter. Those shawls will be JUST the thing.

    Beautiful job on the finish.

  2. That turned out lovely. I started a Pimpeliesse today too! I thought I should try to get some Christmas gifts started to I have something in stock. :-). I have about 80 pair of mittens done for children that aren't even going back to school this fall. I need to figure out what I'm going to do with them. I wonder if anyone will be at the school at all to hand them out? Some phone calls need to be made.
    Blessings,

  4. What a beautiful shawl! Love the color and it would be perfect with jeans. (Jeans are dressup for me these days.) Love seeing the various stages to completion.

  5. It's good to record the process-especially when you think it might turn out poorly! This is so pretty! You've done a great job--good plan for the handspun-I'm terrible about putting it into a project, too!

  8. What a pretty shawl! Now I have to go check out that pattern; it looks like a great one! Try spraying a mixture of Tabasco and water on your plants. It worked here; even the rabbit quit munching on my pansy plant!
