Winter is Coming

This is what I see out of the window when I wash the dishes. I kept seeing something red in the tree. Do you see it?

Uh, oh. It's a bit early but those are red leaves. Already.

The outside kitties are not going to be happy to see the summer go.

There's things to pounce on in the tall grass that grew up around the tree stumps.

Sleeping under the stars is what they all want to do. I have to fight them to come in at night.

I wonder if the flowers know their time is almost up.

My little unexpected impatiens family really grew. I hate the heat and the humidity of summer but I do like the world being green.

  1. No!!!! I can't think of winter yet. No snow. Not for a long time. Your flowers are so pretty and happy with the warmth.

  4. OMG! I'm SO excited for fall/winter. I am SO over this summer's heat and humidity. Although, in all honesty, I will probably be cursing winter by Jan. 1st.

  6. I had noticed the same thing just yesterday. Fall is my favorite time of the year and the last few years it has seemed as though summer just would not end. Your outdoor cats are all so cute.

  7. I like to think the trees are changing around here because they're thirsty. But I'm not ready for our winter rains, that's for sure. Wish my black-eyed Susans looked like yours! And then there's the black-eyed Susan vine that has no sign of any flowers and is half as tall as usual. I guess I won't be planting that from seeds again any time soon.

  10. Since moving south winter is my favorite season. The summers are just to darn hot but like you I love the green and those black eyed Susans.
