You can definitely feel a change in the air but I think my neighbors across the road are getting a little ahead of themselves. I should say that they also still have all their Christmas lights up but since they are the working parents of four small kids I will not judge.
The field of Black-Eyed Susans at the park were more black-eyed than Susan. Mine are too.
The Crepe Myrtles are already starting to turn.
The Bay itself was rough and dirty. The beach patrol was on duty raking up all the junk that was washing up on shore. The beach was practically empty which is a good thing since the place was a stinky mess. They are closing the pier this weekend for a wedding. Good luck with that. I hope those giant seagulls are gone by then or it might be a wedding to remember. Lol....
That looks like a scene from Hitchcock's The Birds! I am so happy to welcome FALL!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful for any cool weather - this summer heat has drained me!
ReplyDeleteI agree, those birds look like the beginning of Hitchcock's movie. Hopefully, they will move along before the wedding day!
I wonder if Dorian is close enough to be affecting the birds and your water. In any event, your photos are definitely showing signs of fall. Btw, your pup is Adorable!
ReplyDeletePumpkins are starting to appear around here, too. Enjoy your kitty-sitting duty.
ReplyDeleteOh , No Im not ready Deb!!! The weather is ideal here. We have a beautiful day to go to the local county fair! The pumpkin is too soon. Sorry. IM a huge halloween lover, but not yet...not yet
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that it's cooling off a bit for you but I'm NOT ready for fall decorations yet. It's still August! Those birds are spooky looking. Dennis hates wild birds. They are so unpredictable. They used to get in the chimney at our first house and fall into the furnace no matter how much he tried to block it off. He would have to get them out of the house and they would dive bomb him. Your picture would really freak him out! :-)
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
That is a wonderful photo of Pup! She looks so content. These cooler nights and days with lower humidity are such a delight. I love that I need to wear a sweatshirt when I walk in the early morning. Hope you have a wonderful time with the cats! I am sure you will make progress on all your projects.
ReplyDeleteGulls are intimidating to say the least!
ReplyDeleteHope the kitty-sitting goes well.
Giant scary seagulls... sounds like a Hitchcock movie waiting to happen
ReplyDeleteNice walk, I hope the birds stay out of the wedding that could be exciting:)
ReplyDeleteWhat a little cutie pie. I'm guessing she wont be to happy once she realizes you will be gone for nine days though. ;-) I'm still waiting for cooler weather here. I'm so ready for fall!
ReplyDeleteI hope that wedding went off without a lot of bird poop happening.
