Tiny Needle Tuesday

While I was away kitty sitting I got some little sheepies done on the little sheep sampler. Since it's not September yet the Sheep Virtues stayed home.

I also brought along the crewel project which I am liking more and more. By that I mean the doing. The stitchery itself leaves a lot to be desired but I think I am getting better.

Dear Jane got all her pieces covered during the kittycation but I didn't take a needle to her as I goofed up the direction of two pieces and didn't bring any fabric to fix them. I am also not sure where to begin to put these pieces together. I am afraid this is another "Jane, what were you thinking?" piece which was not a good place to start when you're a bit rusty.

When I returned home yesterday I found this waiting for me in the mail. Thanks Connie for the surprise! I'd like to thank you in a more personal way but I can't find out where you originally contacted me from. Ravelry? Email? I've looked but can't find you to tell you how much I appreciate the card you made and the little carving. The booklet will come in very handy. I am one of those people who can never find a piece of paper when I need one.
Thanks again!

  1. Once again ............you get so much done, while I am "slacking" over here. LOL I haven't put a stitch in my cross stitch all week.

  2. You DO get so much done!! And everything looks so nice. I'm really enjoying your crewel piece (brings back so many memories of doing that type of project).

  5. I love those little sheep! I'm also in awe of how much you accomplish in a day (or between blog posts.) I'm over here, all proud because I knit 2 rows while you are over there cross stitching, embroidering, quilting and kitty sitting.

  6. The sheep sampler is just so beautiful and it's not even complete. That Dear Jane block looks challenging.

  7. I do love those sweet sheep. You always amaze me at your productivity. I made a crewel embroidery picture that was 16x20" when I was in my early 20's. It was gorgeous if I do say so myself but I don't know what happened to it. I think it disappeared in one of our moves.
What a sweet package from Connie. Blog friends are pretty special aren't they?
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  9. Nice work happening under your hands! Too bad about the 'reverse' pieces for Dear Jane!
