Oh, Dear...

Remember me? Dear Jane has been in time out so I could finish that paper piecing project of Daddio's.

Now that it's in the machine quilting queue I dusted off Dear Jane to take along on my three day kitty sitting gig.

I thought I would have cute kitten photos to share but the new baby won't come out from under the bed. I can hear her romping upstairs but then she hides when I come up to take a peek. I'm used to that. That's just how all my feral babies behaved when we first brought them inside.

So instead of playing with a kitten I am sitting quietly in the dining room and working on the C-5 block of Jane and letting her get to know me on her own terms. I'll be here for nine straight days starting next weekend so maybe by then she'll have figured out I'm a friend.

And for one more Oh, Dear....Google isn't letting me sign in under my Araignee account when I go to leave comments. I am either Anonymous or Debbie with no other choice. It's really annoying because it also doesn't want me to sign in to my own blog all of a sudden. One day it just decided it didn't know who I was anymore.  If I disappear, blame Google. Why can't they just leave these things alone?

  1. Poor kitty hope she decides to come out of hiding! In the meantime you are busy! Google has a mind of its own:(

  2. I hope the kitty decides you can be trusted. Cats are weird that way aren't they? Tomorrow you could be it's best friend...but it's all on their terms. :-)
Google did that to my awhile back. I was anonymous on everything. Then, all of the sudden, I was allowed back as me! Go figure.
    Blessesings,
    Betsy

  3. Nice to have the paper piecing work with you--good choice. I know--last year I was locked out and couldn't sign in to blogger/google--what a pain!

  5. Patience is the key to meeting the kitty and to dealing with Google. Dear Jane would definitely test my patience.

  8. Oof! Hope Google lets you back in. I think I'd change my password(s) just in case. Hope the kitty adjusts to your presence and that you have fun with Dear Jane. What a fun quilt - you'll never get bored making the same square over and over with that one!

  9. I don't think you could have made much progress on those Dear Jane blocks with the distraction of a cute kitten. Betting by the time you end your next stay there, she will have accepted you as a friend.

  11. Once i wanted to buy Dear Jane project, now I see it would be too stressful for me. Enjoying your journey instead. I’ve been having trouble with commenting for more than half a year now. It signs in but does not save comments, although in some rare occasion it let you post with the account. So, I am Anonimous too :( Liana
