Knit Wit

That Polwarth handspun is on it's way to becoming a cowl.

It's striping up nicely which is good because I picked a pretty simple pattern.

My remaining on the needle socks are at their heels. I'll be glad to see the end of them.

The lining of the Snowflings are almost at the place where I have to do some knitting gymnastics. You have to finish the thumbs before you close up the top so you can weave in the ends. Wish me luck. This scares me.

And....yet another one of my childhood crushes has left the planet. Peter was my Monkee. My sister even texted me her sympathies yesterday. No matter what we were doing it all stopped when The Monkees were on TV. RIP dude. Thanks for the memories.

  3. Had not heard about Peter York.

Stripes are nice in the cowl - very pretty! And you know I'm in love with those mitts.

  5. I have not heard about Peter York either. So sad. It seems like everybody from my childhood is leaving us.
You’re coming right along on all of your projects. Those mitts are beautiful and yay for the socks! I like the yarn that you chose for the cowl.

  6. The colors in all of your yarn are just beautiful. On another rainy, gray day, they are even prettier.

  10. We had The Monkees on TV in Australia too. Peter Tork was a talented musician. Condolences to you.
The polwarth stripes are nice earthy colours. Good luck on your very technical Snowflings. You are braver than me!

  11. You've got some nice projects in the works! What pattern are you using for the pink socks? And oh my, that does look complicated to knit a lining for mitts! Good luck with the thumbs!
