Hej Raffig

 Guess where I was yesterday?

Ikea. Again. I drove an hour all by myself up there just to get these. They are the finials for my curtains and they cost $2.99. I ended up spending $150 on stuff I probably didn't need all to save the $9 Ikea wanted to ship them to me. Sigh.

It really wasn't a hardship. I got lost in the marketplace. I have a terrible weakness for kitchenware. I brought home some bowls, a measuring cup and a sugar shaker but I did resist this teapot. As much as I wanted it I don't have room for another one. I probably have 20.

I just bought two new sets of bed linens and I came home with another one. I bought the twin duvet set that matches my new floral one. I wanted a smaller blanket. I keep getting lost in the big one.

The Mister loved the towels he picked up there the last time he came with me so he asked me to pick him up some more.  I was happy to get to spend time looking at the new spring collection. I didn't buy any of these and now I am very sorry.

I'm sure I'll find a reason to go back in the near future but if I do I'll need a bigger vehicle because this chair and ottoman just may be coming home with me.

  1. Oh IKEA. As I’ve said before, I wish we had one closer. I can spend hours wandering around there and I love the marketplace too. Even when I think there’s nothing I want, I always end up buying something. I especially like their kitchen towels. I think the chair and ottoman would be perfect too. Blessings, Betsy

  4. IKEA is a fun store, but overwhelming, too.

  5. I LOVE Ikea! I only dare go once a year though because the place is like a yarn shop/Target dollar section combo to me. Things just start jumping off shelves and into my cart and the next thing I know, I'm having to rent a U-haul to carry my purchases home.

  6. The trip sure was worth it! I don't know how you resisted the chair and ottoman--just think of the knitting you could do sitting in it!

  7. Oh, Ikea! It's just so much fun to get lost in that place! That chair and ottoman -- what a perfect place to curl up with knitting, stitching or reading!

  8. What beautiful eye candy! You did well to resist the teapot. I also have a terrible weakness for any type of kitchenware and just resisted purchasing some Rae Dunn pottery this morning. Of course, the more I think about it, the more likely I will be to make a return trip. And - I only have to drive a few miles. That chair and ottoman look so cheerful.
