The Mister and I love our scrubbies.
I just finished up some Christmas ones. The knitted square one is for people dishes. The round crochet one is for critter bowls.
As soon as those were done I ordered more Scrubby from Amazon. I wanted blue for January but then I saw the Scrubby Sparkle and had to have some of that too. It will be perfect for spring.
In other knitting news I came to a roadblock with the thumb gusset on the mittens. I didn't have any more stitch holders.
They are all in use in other projects. I know, I know. I could use waste yarn but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I've always used stitch holders for jobs like this and I am a creature of habit.
Instead I waited for an order from Amazon to get here. Now I've got plenty. Bring on the gussets.

I almost bought some of that sparkly scrubby Red Heart at Hobby Lobby yesterday, but instead bought their brand. We’ll see how it works. I have to finish Dennis’s sweater before I try any of my other fun projects that are waiting. I find you can never have too many stitch holders. I never seem to have the size that I want when I want it.

Nice to have an array of scrubbies! The mitts are so pretty--nice selection of holders-I've never seen the super small ones!
ReplyDeleteI frequently use large safety pins as stitch holders for small things like thumbs
ReplyDeleteCreature of habit - I'm right there with you.
ReplyDeleteI still haven't bought that scrubby yarn - it just felt weird when I touched it. I don't think it is something I would enjoy knitting. I love those mittens.
ReplyDeleteFirst, I want to thank you for the awesome package - soap, lotion bars, lip balm! What a generous package. The soap is so pretty and smells just wonderful. It will be enjoyed and I will pay it forward.
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat idea to identify your scrubbies by the shape. Easy to keep track of. The mustard colored yarn is just beautiful. Is that a sock or sweater? It looks so soft and snuggly.
Stitch markers etc. are perennial items on my Christmas list. One can never have enough!
