I met my old first grade team yesterday for lunch in Annapolis.
Every few months we get together to see how retirement is treating us.
We eat, we drink, we laugh but mostly we complain about how much weight we've put on. Go figure.

How fun! I loved visiting Annapolis whenever I went to Mandy’s. The restaurants down by the Naval Academy were delicious. We don’t have seafood like that in Spokane! I sure wish I would have known you back then. We could have been ladies who had lunch too!

It would be nice to meet our old friends and spend time with them. During that time time flies out...
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice meet-up! Just to sit with other women and gab and laugh has to feel great!
ReplyDeleteHow nice...and the food looks delicious!!
ReplyDeleteLOL, same conversation here. I meet an old friend and her husband once a month for lunch.
ReplyDeleteWhen we meet, the retired nurse group, we tend to stick to old stories. I wonder if we should DO something instead of meet and eat....haha.
ReplyDeleteRetirement! I can't wait. No more than 3 more years. We'll see if I can last that long.
ReplyDeleteAnd Annapolis! I may have told you this, but I lived there in 1986-87. My husband was a reporter for the Capital and I was news editor of the Maryland Gazette. We had a blast living there.
But what would life be without good friends and good food? It's worth a little extra around the waistline!
ReplyDeleteLooks delicious!
