Scrub a Dub Dub

I love kitchen cotton. I have to pick one up every time I am in a place that sells them. They are just too tempting.

Here's my latest. It's kind of an odd color combo but that's the good thing about dishcloths, it really doesn't matter what color they are. They don't have to match anything.

I've been playing around with new patterns this week. The popular Almost Lost pattern is fun.

I'm trying to do it with a provisional cast on to avoid the mattress stitch. The jury is still out on it. I tried a new kind of cast on and who knows what's going to happen until I get to the end.

Then there is just the plain old standby. I use about a million of these a day with all the soap making mess. You just can't have enough of 'em.

  1. I do like to make dishcloths. Michael's has a sale on until Saturday. 4 balls of cotton for $5.00. A good deal because they're usually $1.99 each. Just thought I would enable you some more. (As if any of us needed that!) Ha!!

  2. I'm the same way. That stuff is addicting. You're making two of my favorite patterns.

    They are looking great!

  6. Completely agree. You cannot have enough of the plain old dishcloths. I also love your line of thought with the colors for sugar and creme They are all enticing!

  7. I agree, too. We must be on the same wave length; I'm doing those same two patterns! (Different colors though)

  8. I just finished a dish cloth knitting marathon myself a while ago. I did quite a few with the Almost Lost pattern but didn't use a provisional cast on. That sounds like a good idea. I'm going to have to try that.
