Roller Bird Bumbaret

We had a little more light yesterday so I could take some better photos of the new weaving project. This is the one that gave me fits during the warping because I insisted on being creative with all the tied ends.

Everything was going along nicely until, while sleying the reed, I discovered I had made a threading mistake right in the middle of the thing. I had to pull half of it out of the heddles and since I had already removed the lease sticks it was a nightmare trying to keep it all where it belonged. Lets just say a lot of clothespins were involved.

Thankfully the weaving itself is simple. One color, four treadle sequences. It should be smooth sailing from now on-with the emphasis on should.

  2. Yikes! Correcting errors there sounds a lot more complicated than correcting knitting booboos. You've done well though. The project looks fabulous!

  3. Hooray! I have had to resley half a warp before....it gives me a headache just thinking about it! I'm glad you conquered it and it looks like a beautiful weave now!

  6. So pretty. I have only used the tiny toy loom Alex's girlfriend brought me and even that confuses me. You are definitely a gifted lady.

  9. I love this color combination so much. It sucks when there is a mistake in the middle. grr. But you're always so good about putting together your fixes! Excellent work!

  10. Great colors! I'm glad you were able to fix the mistake but know it must've tested your patience. Worth the effort though 'cause it's going to be beautiful when finished.
