May Cards

I haven't gotten too far with my May card kit from Simon Says Stamp. The June kit has already been revealed so I better get a move on it.

I did make some really cute shaker cards with the materials.

I also added this mini Lawn Fawn set to my stamp stash. 123Stitch had a sale. Who knew my go-to online stitching shop had stamping materials and some of the best prices around.

This is another shaker card I made from the kit with the cute little crayons bouncing around inside.

I also had an assembly line going with the Pawsome kit to send along to this month's giveaway recipients.

I've been having a miserable time with my stamping skills in spite of having spent a small fortune on trendy ink. What I found was that the $2.99 Color Crush from AC Moore works better than any of the expensive ones.

I haven't quite got the hang of Distress Inks but that didn't keep me from adding more of them to my collection. Half price. Free shipping. Joannes. 'nuf said.

I also want to thank lovely Meredith at Mereknits for this surprise package that showed up yesterday. Look at those gift tags. Perfect, right?

  1. So pretty! You are tempting me for a new craft.
I like the idea of kits. I would never know where to start from myself.

  2. Love the cards. Is there anything you can't do? Meredith is a sweetheart, and that is the absolute truth.

  3. Watch out, Hallmark! Very pretty cards happening at your hands!

  4. Really ? free Ship Joann's . Is that always? Im going to check it out. Your cards are amazing. Hmm Im surprised the stamps are giving you some issues. You will overcome!

    1. No...not always. They send me promotional coupons from time to time for online sales.

  5. Your cards are all beautiful. I don't see any problems with the inks. LOL

That card with the kites looks like it would be perfect for Father's Day or a boy's graduation or birthday! So cute!

  6. Those shaker cards look really cute! What will they think of next?!

  7. Shaker cards are so much fun. I haven't made cards for ages. Maybe this summer...

  8. You are so welcome. It is nothing compared to your wonderful package.
