Frozen

 So how cold is it?

Cold enough to freeze the freaking Chesapeake Bay.

I couldn't believe my eyes when Daddio and I took a drive by near his house and found the waves were solid.

I wouldn't exactly go ice skating on it but it was pretty crunchy for a long way out. I'm thinking spring already. You, too?

  1. About 12 or 15 years ago, the Potomac River froze solid from Virginia to DC. Despite warnings from the police not to do so, people were walking across the frozen river. I still regret that I didn't walk across--a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

  2. Beautiful pictures! I especially like the last one. No ice here but I do have a fire to take away the morning chill!

  3. Love your photos. It's pretty cold here, but I haven't heard of any freezing like that. Yes, spring sounds pretty good.

  5. Ooh - that looks chilly! Of course, it's been so cold here that when I walked out this morning and it was a balmy 17 degrees Fahrenheit, I thought "Oh wow! Heat wave1"

  6. Brrrrr! It's not nearly frigid here, just cold, gray, and damp, typical Seattle-in-the-winter, not yet rainy but soon, probably.
