When the acrylic sweater I just finished Pup proved to be no match for the cold and snow last week, I had no choice but to dig into the massive Lopi stash.
Lopi is the itchiest, scratchiest stuff on the planet but you can't beat it for really cold weather. It's waterproof and warm. It's perfect for snow.
I'm not sure how Pup is going to handle the rough stuff up next to her bare tummy skin. I'm wondering if thrums might be the answer. My thrummed mittens have been a life saver in this cold. Hmmmm....
It's going to be perfect for the freezing winter! Very stylish, too!ReplyDelete
Pup is going to be the warmest, most well-dressed pup around!ReplyDelete
Great idea for use of the wool. It will help little pup stay warm LOVE your puppy coat so far!ReplyDelete
Lucky pup will have some choices now to help stay warm.ReplyDelete
Lopi felts well, too. Love the colors and now Pup will have no excuse to stay inside!ReplyDelete
don't think she will mind it. when your cold you don't feel the itches.ReplyDelete
Does that dog know how much you love it to weave in those different colors? I'm just kidding. I love the stripes it's already beautiful. Pup is going to be toasty and styley to boot.ReplyDelete
Your new pup's sweater is so lovely and will toasty warm for her in the winter too!ReplyDelete
What about a thin layer of fleece over the thrums for warmth and her paws don't catch on the thrummed pieces of wool?
P.S. I love reading your blog about your family and seeing all of the different projects you work on.
