Fruitcake Weather

 Oh, dear. I only have two fruitcakes left. That means I have eaten two whole fruitcakes since Christmas. Shame on me.



In my defense, it has been cold. We did have snow. I need a warm cuppa and a slice of something sweet when the sun starts to go down. I always get a chill around 4 ish and that's saying a lot as I am more often than not in the throes of a monster hot flash.



Speaking of hot flash, look at this little cutie. The sweater I made her kind of fits. It could be a bit wider to cover her well padded backside. The pattern I made up for it worked so now that I have the idea I can add some width and try again with better yarn. And as for that well padded backside, Pup and I both need to put down the fork and start moving. Sigh.

    Fruitcake sounds delicious. I like a cup of hot tea in the afternoon too during the winter time. It gets me through until a warm dinner. Pups sweater looks great. She looks like she’s pretty proud of it. Blessings, Betsy

    Gosh I haven't had a slice of fruitcake in years. They're not so popular here in the south. The puppy's sweater is adorable.

    I wish I liked fruit cake. I have fond memories of my Grandmother pouring bourbon over the cakes lined up on her sideboard... but that's where the fondness ends. Never learned to like their taste.

    Pup is certainly a cutie in his new sweater. Just adorable! Your cake and tea look delicious. Just the thing for a cold, winter day. I love fruitcake and have very little willpower to resist if it is in the house.

    Spring is coming ..... plenty of time for moving then. Winter is for tea, fruitcake and a craft of choice. LOL

    Um ADORABLE . perfect coat as far as I can see! I think the new med I am on is making mycirculation off. my covered feet and hands are freezing around 4 pm daily......or maybe we both are just cold then?
