I get up early every morning put on the coffee, feed the cat herd and get a few rows on each sock before The Mister climbs out of bed.
I am happy to say I am past the heels and on the feet of all five socks now.
I was all excited about getting close to the finish and starting new socks when I remembered that three of them need a mate. Darn. There's a lot to be said about knitting both socks at the same time. I haven't even finished the first sock and already I have a bad case of SSS (Second Sock Syndrome for any non-knitters out there).
Your socks are growing so fast. I always knit two socks at a time, otherewise they turn out to be different in size :)
ReplyDeleteBut they all look great! :-). That’s why I began doing both at the same time. Although I knit them on dpn’s, I do both cuffs, then legs, heels, feet and toes. Otherwise I’m afraid I would never finish a pair. Blessings, Betsy
ReplyDeleteBeautiful socks on the needles-even if they do need a mate! You will enjoy your routine and do the second socks without having to make any decisions about what pattern to use! lol
ReplyDeleteYour socks are beautiful! Love your yarn choices. SSS can be a monster! Sometimes it takes me years to cast on the second sock, but that second one always knits up in a few days compared to the months that the first one takes.
ReplyDeleteAll your socks make me happy - so fun and colorful. For some reason for me the first sock always takes a huge amount of time and the second one always seems to fly off the needles!
ReplyDeleteThey do look fabulous. Hopefully SSS doesn't last!
ReplyDeleteOh yes .. .. the second sock syndrome.... hits me hard!! I usually plug through kind of crabby with the second ones...Hugs.
ReplyDeleteExcellent! I love all the colors - my knit socks tend to be in one color family.
ReplyDeleteWhat an beautiful group of socks in progress. I really love the first pair - something about the yellow and blue and the neutral colors. Just perfect for wearing with jeans.
ReplyDeleteJeez, I'm still working on a pair I started last fall - go you!
ReplyDeleteSecond sock syndrome is one of the reasons I gave up sock knitting, well that and I live in Florida and don't have a lot of need for socks.
