Four Heels and Some Holes

The one good thing about being down and out with a backache last weekend is that I got a lot of knitting done.

I have four socks that are all having their heels turned.

I had to rip this one out because I had forgotten that it has a different stitch count than the others but it was a quick fix.

I haven't gotten very far on the lacy ones because I only let myself do one repeat a day. All lace, even simple patterns like this, involve a lot of counting and this old brain can only hold so many numbers at a time these days. Ripping out lace is no fun so slow and steady is the only way to go.

  1. I don’t know how you can have so many pairs of socks going at the same time. If I have very many projects going on I feel the tension mounting. I do love all of the yarns that you have chosen and that lace pattern is absolutely gorgeous. Blessings, Betsy

  3. Can't go wrong with the Heritage Prints yarn!
I am amazed you work on so many socks at once; I couldn't keep the counts straight either, if I had to remember them all!

  11. I love those pink ones. I was just going to ask what the pattern was and then looked ahead and saw what it was. All of them are pretty.

Hope your back is feeling better soon.

  12. OMG your socks are all so beautiful! I'm jealous of your bushel of socks and I'm jealous of the knitting time, but I am NOT jealous of any kind of back pain as I am very familiar to this ailment and it drives me nuts. I smell like salompas all the time.

  13. Heel turns? You may as well be speaking a foreign language. I'm not a big knitter and still trying to better understand all the ins and outs of sock knitting. I admire your expertise.
