The Snowy Version

Kathy B asked a lot of questions that I could relate to yesterday. First it was about socks. Yes. It's cold. Yes. I have on two pairs. One sockweight, one handspun. I haven't had to do this all winter but here we are in March....go figure. That's my latest boo boo on my shin. I fell off the chair that I use to check the curing soap. Ouch.

I am also wearing my thrummed mittens to walk the dogs for the first time all winter.

They are stuffed with fleece and so warm....you can't do better.

I've also got on my lined hat and my heaviest and longest cowl to wrap all around my neck. I also have on a down vest and my heavy LL Bean coat over top of sweat clothes with long johns underneath. For real. March cold is the worst. It's that wind.

This was Monday. We are waiting for that big storm they keep promising us. Are those snow clouds creeping over the horizon? I think not.  I bet the whole thing is a bust. It usually is.

  1. Here Feb was the worst. March feels and smells like spring. Hope it stays like that.

  4. Beautiful handknits! And a gorgeous blue sky. It's snowing here and my office is closed - yay! But, it doesn't look that bad out.

  5. I use to have to dress like that inside my house when I lived up north so I feel your pain. LOL I hope the storm misses you. It's time for Spring already. And I love the green crocs almost as much as the red. ;-)

  8. I'm thinking about you and wondering if the blizzard hit the Eastern Shore. I was just glad it didn't hit Sunday, when we were flying back from Virginia!

  9. You look pretty toasty in all of your knitting finery. It is chilly and windy here for March. The poor spring breakers. Stay warm.

  10. I had to look REALLY close to see the two socks. I thought they were just one really cool looking pair of long socks!

(In my mind I imagine you reading some absurd tweet about the latest in the news and falling off your soap chair) I'm glad you're OK.

Stay warm and safe. I highly encourage comfort eats and beverages
