Three Months and Counting

Ready for another crybaby thumb update? Today marks 90 days since I slammed it into the car door. It is still driving me crazy. You can see the hole has moved up. Under the bandaid (thanks again elns!), the broken nail is finally separating from the new nail but in a really gross way. It looks like a prop thumb from The Walking Dead. At least it is not as painful as it was. I can now knit without the terrible pressure I had whenever anything touched it. The awful thing now is that the jagged mess gets caught on everything so it has to stay covered at all times. As much as I love my fabulous bandaid bling it is no good for things like spinning or needlework with fine thread where it all gets caught up in the sticky bits. I am looking forward to what the next 30 days bring...maybe a new nail reveal? I sure hope so. I'm really over this.

  1. It does take a long time to grow a new one! It should be looking better in time for summer nails season!

  5. One more month ought to do it! Mine was good by the end of April (and our daughter's wedding) after smashing it the previous December. I do sympathize though!
