My new nickle plated fixed circulars are here and I love them. I think I knit faster with them and even better, I don't have to worry about them snapping off in my hand.
I couldn't just order needles so this Capretta sock yarn came along for the ride. It's the Woodstock colorway and as much as I loved the name I am not so happy with the colors. It looks like something I would have dyed. It's rather drab and muddy.
Maybe that was exactly what they were going for though. Woodstock was a rather muddy event.

Yay on the needles! I'm so glad you got new ones you like. I kind of like the color of your new yarn. It will be interesting to see how it knits up.

I also use knitpicks needles. They are nice. Happy knitting!
ReplyDeleteI think it's nice yarn - and yup, Woodstock was a muddy mess. I don't think I can do socks on circulars.....my brain can't do it.
ReplyDeleteI prefer metal needles because the stitches slide so easily. Hmm, yes the yarn colors do look muddy; perhaps, it will look better when knit.
ReplyDeleteGlad your new needles have arrived and you are working on those socks again. Love the socks. Great that you are pleased with the new needles.
ReplyDeleteI find knitpicks has a real problem representing the true colour of their yarns. Though you may like the yarn more once it's knit up!
ReplyDeleteGlad you're back in sock action. The Capretta does look like the colors are blurred together. Hopefully it knits up differently, although it's pretty in the skein.
ReplyDeleteHa,ha, ha!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe new yarn will be pretty , I think. Cast on soon! I'm glad the new needles are working out!
Maybe the yarn will come to life when you start a project and see the pattern.
