Cotton Crazy

In spite of already having a rather large cotton stash, I couldn't help but add to it. I just happened to be driving by a Joanne's while doing an errand so I stopped in to have a look. I haven't bought any in a long while and I was amazed at all the wonderful new colorways. Cotton has come a long way.

My plan is not to use any of my newly finished dishcloths until I have a pile of seven. In the past I found I didn't like a soggy old dishcloth hanging around for long so I never used the few I had made. Now with one for each day of the week,  I will be able to throw them in the laundry basket every night and have a clean one for the next day. If I can bring myself to use them at all. They are almost too pretty to be cleaning up the kind of messes I make around here.

  1. I'm happy to see that I'm not the only one that is a bit cotton crazy. I have several drawers devoted to the cotton for dishcloth stash. I have that same pattern and I love it but one does need to change them out daily. Which is my perfect excuse for needing a new ball of it every time I'm in town. Knitting dishcloths ranks right up there with knitting socks in my world. :-D

  2. We are just heading into spring so cotton will be hitting the stores here soon. Might be the perfect summer knitting projects for our hot summer. Yours are such beautiful colours.

  3. I love making these. I have oodles of that pink. I made them when my granddaughter was a baby for her wash cloths. Of course I have a stack of them and love to make them when I travel and leave them behind as gifts for my DIL.
