It wasn't too long after Arietta came off the needles that Shaelyn went on. I do my lace first thing in the morning and I missed having a project to work on. Shaelyn is nothing like Arietta however. She is very simple and straightforward where Arietta was a challenge. The biggest problem will be how to use all those different colors of handspun I came up with after taking apart the Elven Forest roving. I think I may have way more yarn than shawl.
Having said all that, I will make a shocking confession. I had to make myself a M1L and M1R cheat sheet in my weird knitting shorthand because I have never really learned the difference. Shaelyn has very neat little increases that I appreciate so it was worth figuring this out-with the help of You Tube, of course.
PS: I'd like to wish a happy birthday to The Mister. He doesn't give
a rat's patootie about my little knitting blog-other than complain about how
much time I spend on it, but just in case he is giving it a look today I
thought I should acknowledge his 59th. Ouch. When did we both get so
damn old?

Oh this one's really pretty too! I'm loving that green. Probably because I'm so engulfed in the white stuff outside. We watched golf on TV all day just for the sight of grass. :D Happy Birthday to the Mister too!
ReplyDeleteLol, I also have used a cheat sheet when my old brain just could not remember the difference between two symbols on a chart.
