MY Day

I spent Mother's Day doing dishes. Over and over again as a matter of fact.

No complaints. I had the time of my life.

I had four new summer fragrances burning a hole in my pocket.

Now I have four loaves of soap saponifying in the oven.  I know I said I wasn't going to make any summer soap but then those free samples showed up.....and you know how that goes.

It's not Mother's Day without the yellow box. I always gave Mom one. She always gave her mom one. Now I get myself one. This year I opted for the micro mini box because I just inhaled a big box at Easter and that's a habit I don't want to get into.

  1. More soap! It looks gr at and you got to spend the day doing what you love. Perfect! I'm glad you treated yourself to the chocolate. Memories and traditions are important.

  3. Isn't it funny how if you are doing the dishes because it's something *you've* been wanting to do, it doesn't seem as much like a chore??

Those soaps look/sound like nice ones - I hope they turn out!

  4. So why not more soap?! It looks lovely and smells that way, too, I'm sure. Love the candy tradition!

  5. Nice! Sugared Spice sounds interesting....hmmm....I'm trying to imagine what that would smell like. And chocolates are the perfect finish to any day as far as I'm concerned.

  7. Whitman's was a holiday staple at our house too! It was always a game to see who got the chocolate covered cherry and the Whitman man. LOL
