Um......

I ordered three balls of Palette for the Festive Doodle sweater and some random Static sock yarn from Knit Picks a few days ago so I was confused when I had two packages from them in the mailbox yesterday.

In the second package was all this Palette along with the exact same packing slip that was in my package that listed my order. Odd. I tried to call Knit Picks but they aren't in the office until Monday. Someone is missing a colorwork project it appears. How sad.

And finally this.....yesterday was a bittersweet victory as we had to also digest the shocking news that Son in Law's grandfather died suddenly on Friday from Covid. His grandmother is still clinging to life on a vent. Grandpa died alone down the hall from grandma just days after coming down with a fever.
We may have won a battle but the war is not over.

We've got an awful lot of work to do.
Stay safe.

  1. Oh Debbie, I'm so sorry to hear about your SIL's Grandfather. I sure hope his Grandmother survives, but in my heart, I wonder if she would want to after losing her husband. I know I wouldn't want to be here without my Dennis. He is my life.
The UK is in lockdown for four more weeks. So is France and I heard Italy is considering it too. We're not alone. The entire world is suffering from this monstrous virus. It's the reason Dennis's company is closing it's doors. I'm so glad that he's so close to retirement.
I sure hope a treatment that saves people is found and a vaccine is developed soon, soon, soon.
    Blessings and a big hug,
    Betsy

  2. They will most likely tell you to keep the yarn. Covid is no respecter of political parties.
So sorry for the horror of this disease on families-so hard not to rally around each other!

  3. I am so so sorry. I heard last night that my sweet 16 yearly nice and her father both have covid. They are in Arizona. They have a sister, in that family. who is nurse. She works the covid ward and has not gotten sick. My brother in law was in the hoax , no mask world. He's very ill now. I will keep him in my prayers but ignorance is fatal theses days

  6. baby boomers are going to get abused and treated like garbage in the retirement homes. Literally everyone hates baby boomers now. Maybe you boomers shouldn't have been so selfish and arrogant and greedy. Enjoy those retirement homes, and good luck, boomers!

  7. I'm so sorry for your loss. The fact that people can't be together at this time just makes it harder.
