Days of Gold

I love the view up the driveway at this time of year. Finally we have some color. It doesn't last long but while it does I like to look at it. The world is practically glowing.

Notice I have no socks on. It's in the 70's. I have no sleeves on either.

My feral impatiens are still going strong among the dying grass and the leaves. It feels like spring and looks like fall. It's so weird.

My last fire was a bust. It's too humid. It's been in the 70 percent range again and everything is too damp. It just smoked. Bummer.

We spent the day walking Pup in the town's deserted parking lots since the boardwalk was pretty crowded on Monday. The nice weather brings everyone out. Then I came home and tackled some binding. The little Awesome quilt will soon be a done deal if I can just force myself to sit still. It's just too nice to be inside.

  1. Oh, if I had your weather I would be outside too. The quilt and other projects will still be there when the weather turns again. Just enjoy that beautiful view down the driveway while you can.
Everytime you mention your crocs I think I should get a pair. I've never had any and they look so comfortable.
    Blessings,

  2. Beautiful golden glow! It is now grey here today, but we have had so many gorgeous days I cannot complain.

  3. We've had a heat wave too - it got over 70 several days in a row. In October, I'm fine with it. It's just weird in November.

  5. Not that our weather is getting colder, I am working on a quilt too. It has been waiting for quite awhile for me to finish the border and do the binding. Hope to have it done for Christmas! Hmmm...we will see...

  6. The trees are changing here so we've had a few days of sunshine and beautiful color! I am finding the warm weather disconcerting but I'm sure I'll soon be looking back wistfully! Your view of the driveway is really beautiful!

  7. The golden glow through leaves is one of the reasons I love Fall so much.

  8. We have high humidity and more rain as Eta heads right for us! Tomorrow morning should be the nitty gritty! We've moved all plants, furniture against the house or into the garage-Fun! The quilt will be a nice finish!

  9. I have felt that "gotta enjoy this" weather mode for the last week! There is so much to do outside, I get to my knitting so late in the night. Your quilt is so pretty. I love the 70s look
