A Birthday Finish

I've had a table full of quilt for weeks. It was going nowhere fast until I got the big idea of getting it done for Daddio's birthday. This was the last one we worked on when he was still able to help.

I was stitching every blessed stitch in the ditch. It was a good day when it was time to pull out the pins and go looking for ditches I'd missed.

There were a few.

It took four nights and a viewing of Mama Mia and Amadeus to get the binding done in time.

Of course it all came together on a dreary, rainy day. Taking photos was impossible....

...but you get the idea. It's another random disappearing nine patch stitched in the ditch from the Heather's Garden collection from, where else, Connecting Threads. I hate to sound like a broken record when it comes to quilting materials but I love their collections. I hate putting color and patterns together so I'm more than happy to let someone else do it for me.
