Even though there is tons of yard work to be done, The Mister and I took a lunch break at the beach.
We had spent several days raking the leaves off the likes of this cute little thing and needed a break.
Today there were signs of life. All winter we practically had the place to ourselves but today there were people walking along the sunny shore.
We still had the little park to ourselves.
Pup got a good scolding from the ducks. She got a little too close for their comfort. Mine too.
She had a better time on the pier.
The water is still clear but it smells so beachy again. That's nice.
At the end of the pier we were surprised by these little ducklings who would go under the water for the longest time and then pop up in unison.
Just like this. It was just too funny.

Isn't this weather amazing?!! The gardener had to mow our lawn yesterday. That has NEVER happened in March for us.....EVER!!! LOL! Those little synchronized ducklings are darling.
ReplyDeleteHow nice to be able to beach cruise again!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
Ha-ha-ha -- synchronized ducks! Lucky you going to the beach. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteSyncronized ducks -- LOL.
ReplyDeleteOh, I so envy those of you who live by the sea.
Great photos of a lovely place to spend the day. I wish we lived close to the water.
ReplyDeleteOh I love the beach and pier photos. Glad you went.
ReplyDeleteYou live in a beautiful place. I love that you get out with and without the Mister quite a bit for lovely walks along the water and in the woods enjoying what surrounds you.
ReplyDeleteYour synchro swim photos are putting some Olympic spirit in me. It's been harder and harder for me to get excited about them, funny.
In the winter, we have those ducks on our lake. I always wondered how the picked the "boss" that tells them when to go down and when to come up.
ReplyDeleteWe call them dippin' ducks. I don't know their real name.
what a great way to spend the day
