Out and About

We tailgated behind the McDonald's in Bowie yesterday. The doggies had their favorite nugget lunch. I had a diet coke and small fries.

It was a beautiful 68 degree day and we hit the road early for a day of shopping in town. Pet Smart was on the itinerary so the pups came along.

It's a long haul up there but I got a lot of knitting done. One terrible sock is finished. Yippee.

 The other has begun.

I needed more Valentine's paper. I scored big at both Micheals and AC Moore.

I needed floss for the February block of The Sheep Virtues. I wanted it all. I love buying floss.

I was tempted by the yarn sale but The Mister was waiting in the car with the dogs so I didn't even start to browse. Now I have non-buyers remorse. I really could have used some more Patons sock yarn. What was I thinking?

  1. Your yarn sale control is impressive and sad all at the same time. ;-)

  2. Looks like you accomplished a lot on this outing-wasn't the mild weather a treat?!
Good job on finishing the sock-it will wash up nicely and you will love them. The non-buyers remorse is cracking me up!

  3. Yay for one sock done and the next started! I would not have resisted the sale yarn...just sayin'

Woke up at 4:30 this morning to let Tyg out and it was pouring outside...and warm. It does feel like spring.

  4. I had to laugh when you mentioned going to Bowie - my sister lived in Crofton for a long time, and I have been to Bowie many times!

Patons sock yarn ... hmmm, I may have to visit out A.C. Moore to see what they have.

  6. That sounds like a really wonderful day! I haven't been out of my usual area for quite a while and I think I need to take a little day trip somewhere... perhaps a craft store!

  7. Heyy! I went to the craft store this weekend. It was amazing. I almost walked out without any patons, but I don't get a chance to go to this big stores very often and remembered what an incredible workhorse that yarn is. I'm pretty sure I've knit this colorway before... don't care. I love your green socks. They make me happy!

  9. Wow! 68 degrees! I. Am. So. Jealous. You had great self control. I even looked at Paton’s and didn’t get it and now regret it too.
It looks like a wonderfully fun day.
    Blessings,
    Betsy
