'Tis the Season

The first thing I did on my birthday morning was to clear the junk out of my living room and put up my trees.

I have two small trees in each corner. I'm not sure why I need two trees in one room but up they both go every year.

The vintage blinking globe light is finally out and twinkling. I almost forgot about it this year.

The island holds my wooden tree. Boy, I have a lot of holiday junk. I've got knick knacky things all over the place. My house is starting to look like my grandmother's did. Golly. When did that happen?

I think it's because every year you accumulate more junk and you can't part with any of it because it all means something.

The Mister even commented on the whereabouts of the coffee mug I always fill with candy canes. It used to be my grandmother's and I never thought he noticed things like that. Apparently he does.

Speaking of The Mister, we went out for Mexican food to celebrate my birthday last night.

He surprised me with more booze. That's the third bottle of this stuff we have gone through. That's a bit worrisome.

I bought myself cream puffs and an ice cream cake. I looked everywhere for some spumoni ice cream but came home empty handed. Boo....it's not Christmas without it. I guess I'm going to have to learn how to make it.

While we are talking about birthdays, today is also the birthday of #1 Son. He's....um, er. Actually I'm not sure how old he is. He was born in 1977. I do know that. Now I'll have to do the math. The 19th is also the birthday of his lovely missus AND #1 Grandson will be 3 on the 21st. That's a lot of birthday's in December. Happy birthday everybody!!!
