My great grandmother made piles of afghans for the family on her original wooden Weave It loom. Seeing the last remaining one at my sister's house brought back a flood of memories. When I think of how I had that loom and let it somehow disappear in the chaos of life, I am ill. Who would know that that 40 years later they would become such a hot item again? Imagine what I could have done with that little loom and all the handspun I have laying about.
My grandmother had one of those. I never saw her use it, but found it and patterns in a draw. Unfortunately, my uncle threw it all out before I was able to rescue it.
ReplyDeleteI love the colors in that.
