Throwing Caution to the Wind
When a new yarn line comes out, I used to order color cards but to hell with that. Since I have become such a big spender, these days I just order a ball of the colors I am interested in and then lie to myself by thinking that one day I will use them in some fair isle project. These balls of the new sport weight Knit Picks City Tweed are nice. Really, really nice. It would be a shame to have them to disappear forever into the stash boxes. I need a plan for these babies. Something small. Something Fair Isle.

What's Fair Isle? Just trying to figure out if I should calls dibs on the yellow one.
ReplyDeleteFair Isle is when you use lots of colors to make a small design of some kind.Like painting with yarn. If you just like the yellow, I'll make you something small out of it.
ReplyDeleteI am just learning so much about knitting. Maybe one day I'll pick up those pointy stick things and give it a try...For now I'll keep to my cross stitch projects and then hopefully on to the next adventure with daddio, quilting.
