Friday Fiber

This is the first finished bobbin of the Unicorn Barf Polwarth. I'm still working on the second two ounces. I can't wait to see what the colors do when it's plied. I'm afraid there's not going to be a lot of yarn from this fiber when it's all said and done but I'll figure out something to do with it. It's too soft to live it's life in the handspun bin.

The Knit Picks Stroll fiber has been an amazing spin but I don't think I'm spinning it thin enough to get enough yardage for a decent pair of socks. Too bad but it'll surely become something too one day. It has a lovely feel to it.

The crazy mish mash project has been tons of fun. I really, really want this done by winter because I can just see the crazy lined hat it's going to become. I'm planning on lots of snow this winter. After the awful summer we had, I just know an awful winter is in our future.

Speaking of crazy, the handspun vest has grown quite a bit but it's sure a lot of stitches around something that has to go all the way around...me. Sigh.

  1. Now now, I predict a fun winter. A dusting of snow here and there. NO severe cold except once in January!

  2. What pretty bobbins full of fiber! I expecially like the KnitPicks one. The vest is coming along nicely!

  3. If you don't have enough of the Stroll for socks, you could always stripe it up with a purchased solid. I think that yarn would make an AMAZING pair of socks.
