As I mentioned before, this festival fell at the end of the month and at the end of every month I am always broke so I had no intention of bringing home a fleece or anything else for that matter. I should have known that wasn't going to happen. When I found 5 pounds of Corrie/Cormo/Border Leicester fleece that was calling my name, I just had to dip into my emergency fund. It was definitely an urgent situation.
I love Corrie. I love Cormo. I have never washed a Border Leicester so it had to come home with me.
I also brought home a pretty braid of Bluefaced Leicester/Silk from Misty Mountain Farm in the colorway English Garden. I have never spun any kind of silk before so it also was a must-have.
Last but not least, I found a strange and unusual sock yarn. It's Mille
Colori by Lang. Sadly, I know that this is destined for the giant
plastic tub where sock yarn goes to die around here but I just had to
have it. It's like nothing I have ever seen and I really, really want to
cast on with it right now in spite of the fact I have 5 socks on the needles
at the moment. If I can locate another set of needles, I just well might. Who's counting?

Oh I love that sock yarn....you should just go for it and cast on. I want to see how it turns out. I've ordered another set of needles so I can have a few socks going at the same time too. I'm thinking it might be contagious!
