Back to the Square One

As disastrous as my weaving projects have been lately, I still have a bad case of weaving fever. Every night I read as much as I can and watch as many videos as I can find to help me understand what it is all about. One day I will own a 4 harness something or other. In the meantime, while I am waiting for the light bulb to come on and stay on, I am doing what this particular rigid heddle was meant to do-make plain weave with knitting yarn. I've got something warm and cozy going on at the moment and I am very happy to be simply going back and forth while the wheels turn.

I am applying some of my newly acquired knowledge to this simple project. I have learned about picks per inch and as I am weaving, I am taking note of what I am doing with a quilting square. I finally understand why my woven material is always lopsided. The left side is always higher than the right for some reason I haven't quite figured out yet.
No matter-because I am also learning how to go back in and fix it before going on to the next section.
