The Book Nook

 

I finished that 700 page book. These were my mother's and I've had them here for years. I loved the two I've read so far, Winter Solstice and Coming Home so I guess I'll be starting The Shell Seekers soon if.....



....I can stop bringing books home from the little lending library at the coffee shop on the boardwalk. I just took back The Storied Life of AJ Fikry and The Shipping News but then I picked up these. Taking advantage of The Mister's afternoon nap time as my reading time has been working out really well. And yes....that is a puzzle you see. It's back on the dining table because The Mister got fidgety without one. I just pick it up and move it when I want the space and that is working out just fine for the both of us.




The Mister's only other hobby right now is his paint by number and he's almost done with it. Both of us should really be tearing out the bathroom right now instead of playing all day. That new shower install will probably be delivered in the next week or so and we haven't even started the demolition of the old one.

    Glad the reading is going so well. Love the paint by number. I am impressed - every time i tried a paint by number it couldn't stay in lines and it looked like I had painted in the dark.

    I liked The Shell Seekers a lot but lost interest in the second RP book I tried. I liked the Griffin Dunne book quite a bit!

    The mister is far more productive with his paint by numbers than I am! Though I did get some accomplished this weekend!

    Sometimes you need to relax really well before you dig into a renovation job especially since it is a bathroom!

    It's probably too much to hope that the shower demolition fairies will take that shower out for you. But reading is much more fun and I hope you enjoy The Shell Seekers when you get to it. It's one of my favorite books.

    That paint by number project is amazing, and I love seeing the embroiders piece, too. Have you read Eleni or The Women? Our most recent book club choices.....
