For the Love of Pi

My little spinning/knitting corner has seen a bit of action this week. I've just got this handful of fiber left to spin and then the Cormo/Silk blend will be ready to ply.

I spin a little and then knit a little on my handspun projects and I do mean a little. EZ's Pi shawl has been the most fun to work on. I've got a never ending supply of fingering weight in the stash so this thing can go on forever if I want. I just did the increases at 36 so we're on the 24 inch needle now. The thing about Pi shawls is that they are not very photogenic while you are working on them since they are all bunched up. It looks like a weird little hat right now and soon will look like a weird big bag.

You can't see from this side but the first of the Thermal Mitts has its thumb gusset in progress.

Even Garter Squish got a few more rows added to it this week. It's time to start thinking about what color to add in with that yellow to fade it out. That's always the hard part for me since I have no color sense whatsoever.

  1. I've toyed with the thought of a Pi Shawl, but so far I have not caved. I'm afraid I would lose interest and there a blob would sit for quite a long time!
