Pup and I had to spend most of yesterday hiding out in the downstairs craft room because of high wind warnings. After that tree fell through the neighbor's house, it doesn't take much to spook us anymore. I made copies of our tax forms and worked a bit on my paper hexie quilt during the storms.
I was doing some online shopping to see if I could find a watercolor coloring book when I found something called a Reverse Coloring Book. I had no idea what that was so I watched a few videos and apparently you can buy books with watercolors paintings already in them and all you have to do is the outlining. There were also tutorials on how to make your own so I gave it a try. I think the paper towel I used for blotting looks better than the watercolor but it still might be fun to scribble on it when it's dry.
That's an interesting technique! Our winds have been high again too.
ReplyDeleteWe've got the high winds today but I'm doing my best to ignore the big oak tree right by the house. Your watercolor and your hexies both look quite colorful!
ReplyDeleteAll your little art projects make my heart sing! I've got to get back to my paint by number. It's been sadly neglected!
ReplyDeleteIt's been windy here, too, but there's nothing down in this yard except small branches.
ReplyDeleteA reverse coloring book? Genius!
Very pretty!!! Sounds like fun!
ReplyDeleteThat little paper quilt is wonderful! And a reverse coloring book is new to me. Your watercolor is really pretty though and will be fun to see what you do with it.
