Tiny Needle Tuesday

My Garden of Joy is growing. It would grown more but I had to rip out and re-do an entire block after I couldn't manage to count to two.

It also had to split the time with Snort Stack. My bottom piggy is growing.

I'm waiting for more paper pieces to show up so I can start to assemble Patchwork of the Crosses but I did make a little progress on Dear Jane. That block turned out to be a nightmare. I tried to applique it and realized it's going to have to be pieced so I had to start over again.

I also got started on Funky Flower. My stitching isn't much better but I am having a lot more fun with it. I'm hoping to see some improvement as I go along but if that doesn't happen I'm just going to embrace the wonkiness.

And....to answer the question from yesterday as to why the raisins, here's why. Soda bread. You can't have corned beef and cabbage without it. Mine is more like a giant scone made with buttermilk and plenty of sugar on top that makes a crunchy crust. I don't eat the corned beef but I do eat a lot of this.

  1. Yes, sometimes counting even to two can prove to be a challenge! Your soda bread looks yummy.

  2. Your giant scone soda bread is just the kind of thing I would like! I could maybe even make corned beef for my husband if I also made plenty of this with raisins and sugar on top.

  3. The stitching is pretty and looks like fun minus the unstitching bit! The soda bread looks delicious!

  4. Definitely embrace what you see as the wonkiness of the needlepoint because with use it evens out. The flower will look great!
