The Waiting Game

Our month long nightmare is finally at an end. Today I am at Inova Hospital in Virginia with Little Sister and we are probably worrying ourselves to death in the waiting room while Daddio has his artificial hip replaced. This is our fourth go around with this hip thing and it never gets easier. In fact, it gets riskier as everyone likes to remind you. No one is ever going to put an artificial anything in me. Ever. While I'm away, I'm going to share some things we were working on all last week. As you can see, his Heather's Garden quilt is ready for its sashing.

If all goes well, I will finish it while he is in rehab.

We also got four of the nine panels done for his newest project. We have three of them sewn together already because we were anxious to see how it looks. I'm not sure who he has in mind as a recipient for it but I'm kind of hoping we get to hang onto this one. I think it may be his masterpiece.
