Not Off to the Fair

I did go to the MDSW this year but I can't post about it yet. I wrote this up on Friday so you wouldn't think I died. What I can tell you about is what I didn't wear to this year's Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival. I didn't wear the Elm Street socks that I didn't get finished. I've been working on them daily since Arietta was a done deal but I still have one whole sock to go.

That made me sad but it could be worse. It was touch and go as to whether I would even get there this year. The constant care and feeding of Daddio for the past three weeks certainly took the fun out of attending this year's big event. I was exhausted and had been mighty grumpy for days. I wanted to just go sit in a corner and pout but that never solved anything. I was determined to have fun even if it killed me-and it almost did. As soon as I am back to a place where I have internet (Daddio doesn't) I'll tell you all about it.

  1. Go in the bathroom. Lock the door.
Get a hot wet towel. Load it with your favorite soap or cream. Bury your face in it. Stay there til it cools. Rinse. Pat dry. Smile in the mirror you are worthy of your own smile. Go back out there and you can do this.

  2. hang in there friend. You have been an amazing daughter. I am inspired by your family caring for your father.
My father and I are sort of at an impasse. I don't blog about it, but it is painful. I m so glad you got to sheep and wool even if tired
