We put together The Mister's new turntable the other day and I got out a record to try it out.
I wanted to hear a favorite song off this old Christmas album the kids and I loved back in the day. For the life of me I couldn't find the track I wanted. I looked and sampled and read the liner notes and...no luck. Then The Mister came over and asked me if I had tried the other side. "The other side????" I asked, very confused.

Ha! Ha! It's been awhile hasn't it? We had some great albums early in our marriage and I basically gave them all away. They were in mint condition and probably worth something now. Oh well. Enjoy your vinyl! Both sides.

As someone who grew up with vinyl, I was confused that there was no other side the first time I played a CD. The Muppets were a good choice!

ReplyDeleteOne Christmas my mother asked for a Christmas album. I believe she was envisioning traditional Christmas carols. My father who was tone deaf bought this exact same album for her. We have spent many Christmas chuckling over his selection.
