Week Eight

Two months. Two whole months of living in this topsy turvy world. At least coming after Covid I was already quite used to the isolation and the work of disinfecting everything in sight. Pup's over all this. I am too. The Mister and I have been at each other's throats lately. We're tired. Our old bodies are worn out. Our emotions are wrung dry. It's been an adventure, that's for sure. Is the end in sight? Dunno. We're still itchy and rashy but it can take four weeks after the last mite has bit the dust before all that goes away so who knows? We just have to wait and see. Wait and see......I hate the sound of that.

I did sit down and stitch that last gosling yesterday. It was the first project I've touched since all this started.

And....I finished mini Advent sweater Number Seven. All I had left to do was the turtleneck. It was fiddly sewing in all those ends and I confess it did me in patience wise. I should have stuck with those socks that I spent all day the day before looking for.

  5. Glad you can get back to your stitching.

A few years back when we traveled from Fla. to Pa. I got bit up by bedbugs at one of the hotels. It took a long, LONG time for the itching and redness to go away. Sadly, bedbugs make scars so that memory stares at me from the mirror every day. I wish I knew which hotel it was (I have my suspicions) so I never go back THERE again. Nasty things these buggies.
