The Year's Last

I gave my new Merino a cold soak in the sink and then a scour with hot water and suds.

I spun it nearly dry in the salad spinner and laid it out for the very few minutes of sun I now get each day on the deck. It looks pretty awful but I know from experience that when wool dries it turns into pretty fluff as if by magic. This may be the last time I get to work that magic this year as things are not drying well anymore. It's time to stop washing and start carding and combing before it gets too cold to sit outside.
