A Clear Path

Look at that. I can see the floor in the upstairs sewing room.

I can get over to the basket of fiber that I am spinning without risking a fall. I spent a free morning shoveling out the room. I was merciless.

I've also got an empty wheel so I started another bobbin for the three ply hat fiber I have been spinning.

Now I've got two wheels working on the same project. Sweet.
Confess. Where do you keep your clutter?

  1. Love your sewing/spinning room! My stash is in all the closets, under the beds, books are in the dining room, family room; totes full of material are stored in the old farm house. Every time I go to re-organize a room, my hubbie asks me if I was surprised to find something I'd forgotten about. Eh...yeah...usually a few things! Happy spinning!

  2. I don't have any! I like order and don't buy ahead so much that I overflow! It works for me.

  3. All of my clutter got discarded before the move. Such a good feeling!

  4. I always marvel at how Fireman has a basement full of tools. I have one box in the family room of yarn. I also have a case of yarn in a wooden cd stand. That's it. I try to keep the stash down. I gifted lots of leftover yarns and mistake purchases last year to our church. They knit prayer shawls and were delighted to take it.
You are doing good my friend. You spin and you make soap so you need more craft space than I!

  5. I am lucky to have a spare closet in what was Stephen's bedroom. All of my craft stuff is stored in bins there.

  6. OMG... we are not even going to talk about my studio or the state of it. I'm just going to live vicariously through you and enjoy your bare floors.
